Join our niche construction team, as Energex Authorised Contractors, specialising in the construction, modification and repair of in-situ reinforced concrete Energex cable pits, servicing South East Queensland with the majority of works carried out in Inner Brisbane, surrounding suburbs and Sunshine Coast. Our team is managed by the longest serving and most reputable Energex Authorised Pit Builder in SEQ with over 25 years’ experience in this specific field. About the role:
We are offering the stability of a full-time position, Mon-Fri, with your role busy, interesting, diversified, and multi-skilled as administrative support to the managing director, project administrator and construction team. Training will be provided to adapt your proven office skills to our systems and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Set up new clients, prepare and review project documentation, prepare job packs for the construction team.
- Liaise with clients and suppliers as required and ensuring excellent communication and customer service.
- Order TMP’s, Permits and booking TC requirements.
- Managing crew schedules
- Monitor, order & receive stock (minimal)
- Electronic Filing
- Monitoring correspondence
- Validate, reconcile supplier accounts, and prepare payment schedules.
- Word processing and creating excel documents.
- Adhere to office processes and procedures and audit regularly to promote productivity and efficiency.
Must have:
- Current open drivers’ license.
- Your own reliable vehicle to get to and from work.
- Construction White Card and demonstrated understanding of WH&S in the workplace.
- Be reliable, punctual, positive, with a friendly & respectful manner. Be enthusiastic and ready to apply yourself to the position 100% (not distracted by personal electronic devices, eg phoning, texting, social media, mixed media etc during work hours)
- This position suits a mature, extensively experienced person, with a demonstrated minimum 5-years’ full-time positive contribution to a small business office role.
- Proficiency in Operating Computers, Microsoft Office and computerised accounting systems.
- High level of Math and English skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Be able to work alone at times and self-manage effectively to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and achieve work outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders and prepare reports for the managing director.
- Willing to undergo training and take on additional office tasks as the need arises.
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of Confidentially and Diplomacy within and outside of the workplace.
- It is a mandatory requirement for successful applicants to undergo a National Police Certificate (name check only), which is clear of dishonesty type offences.
Hours:
38 hours per week.
