About the facility
The Diabetes Referral Centre is a part of the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes caring for and treating people with all types of diabetes. Our team includes Endocrinologists, Diabetes Educators, Practising Dietitian, Podiatrist and Resource Nurse.
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists to join our dynamic Diabetes Services team, providing administrative support to a multi-disciplinary diabetes team.
The successful applicant will be an experienced Administrative Assistant, providing highly professional and efficient administration and secretarial support, as well as ensuring a courteous and confidential reception service to those attending the Barwon Health Outpatient Diabetes Service.

Essential: Current Victorian Driver's Licence or equivalent
Desirable: Certificate or higher in Secretarial and/or business studies
Essential: Advanced computer skills in software applications including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Access
Essential: Competence in the use of office equipment including photocopiers, facsimile machines, scanners, and computers
Essential: Ability to organise tasks and work environment efficiently with minimal supervision and under conditions of competing demands
Essential: Able to communicate with all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner and application of principles of confidentiality and patient privacy
Essential: Strong interpersonal skills including confidence and clarity in telephone communications
Desirable: Previous clerical/administration experience in a health service, and/or demonstrated experience working in a busy, dynamic multi-disciplinary team
Desirable: Knowledge of iPM database
Desirable: Familiarity with medical terminology
