Job description

PART-TIME FLEXIBLE HOURS - WORK FROM HOME (some on-site work required)

We are looking for a tech-savvy efficient admin assistant to work remotely to support the owner of a small consulting business. The business provides consulting services to a range of domestic and international clients. It is a growing business, and additional support is needed to manage growth, new clients and actively expand the business.

There will be a variety of tasks that are capable of being delivered remotely, usually in a flexible timeframe, with participation via Teams in at least two regular weekly team meetings.

The person we are looking for is an efficient self-starter and problem solver who can get on with tasks with a minimum of direction and supervision. You need to be resourceful and be able to think through and complete tasks independently. You need to be articulate, be able to write well and have an eye for detail. You have some experience and have previously worked as an office administrator. Some bookkeeping experience would be advantageous.

Indicative tasks are as follows:

  • Day-to-day personal and business administration
  • Responding and dealing with inquiries and requests
  • Assist with new companies set up (ASIC & ATO lodgements)
  • Supplier support and management
  • Ad hoc desktop research
  • Banking reconciliations (in Xero)
  • Client support
  • Filing both hardcopy and digital
  • Client database management - using Hubspot CRM
  • Marketing support including website updates, EDMs and social media

Support and training provided.

Skills and experience required:

  • Is highly proficient working remotely using Microsoft including Teams, Outlook & Word and also proficient with Excel.
  • Is ideally proficient using Hubspot (or similar CRM) and Dropbox.
  • Xero experience is handy but not essential
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Bookkeeping skills advantageous but not essential

This is a casual part-time role with variable hours each week starting at around 20-30 hours per week but likely to increase over time. Working hours are flexible.
