Job Reference: 1180640 WASM: Minerals, Energy and Chemical Engineering This position provides comprehensive administrative assistance to support relevant staff and activities of the WASM: Minerals, Energy and Chemical Engineering school. Your new role Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a track record for providing top-tier Administrative Support to key stakeholders? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our WASM school as an Administrative Support Officer. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support, encompassing a diverse range of tasks. Previous experience within the educational sector is highly desired. As the Administrative Support Officer, you will be responsible for: Collate and organise information for reports and area activities. Prepare documentation using MS Office applications. Respond to inquiries and requests from school/area customers professionally and accurately. Coordinate meetings and appointments including venue booking and catering. Liaise with relevant staff to support operational requirements. Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and internal/external clients. Undertake general clerical tasks including photocopying and dispatching correspondence. Procure consumables for the area within financial limits. Undertake other activities as reasonably expected. We are looking for someone with: Completion of a diploma qualification with relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Demonstrated experience in providing general Administrative Support. Ability to work effectively in a team or independently with general direction. Strong interpersonal skills and oral communication skills with cross-cultural sensitivity. Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines. Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet packages, and email. This position is based at our Kalgoorlie campus, candidates are expected to currently located in Kalgoorlie, WA.
