About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent role. The role works within the Emergency Services team and the primary responsibility is to provide excellent administrative, secretarial, customer service, project and field support to the Team.
Some of the core functions include:
- Application of systems and processes to assist efficiency, safety and functionality of the Emergency Services team and the shire's 7 volunteer bushfire brigades and SES unit.
- Assistance with correspondence and customer service requests received and generated from the Coordinator Emergency Services and the Emergency Services Team.
- Maintenance of electronic records, update forms, information, processes and procedures.
- Maintenance of databases and contact/membership lists and coordination of monthly reporting of the volunteer Emergency Services personnel and units.
- Assistance with and undertake functions, activities and training that support the compliance with Emergency Services legislative requirements.
- Inputting infringements into Fines Enforcement Registry.
- Maintenance of continuous improvement and quality control functions between the Emergency Services department, the volunteer organisations, council's service teams and external stakeholders.
As an Administrative & Technical Support Officer, your advanced computer operation skills and ability to prioritise work, meet strict deadlines and work under pressure will be very important. You will also need well-developed written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. Previous local government Emergency Services or rangers experience will be highly regarded.

The Shire is committed to the long-term happiness of our team and offers a salary of between $72,000 - $74,000 per annum.
