Women in Aviation Australian Chapter (WAI Australia) is a non-profit organization run by dedicated volunteers. Our chapter aims to encourage and advance women in all aviation and aerospace career fields and interests. We have a number of exciting events to be delivered over the coming 12 months that support our goal of creating an inclusive and diverse aviation industry.
Role Description
This is a casual (16hrs a week) remote role for an Administrator for someone with an ABN/ACN. The Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with running a not-for-profit organisation. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of WAI Australia. You will undertake administrative duties directed by the executive board, including document maintenance, subscription management, correspondence management, and regulatory compliance.
Expectations
Ideally you will understand our mission, possess a solid understanding of the Not-For-Profit compliance framework, and will be adept with various digital tools including Canva, social media marketing and Microsoft 365. Additionally, you will have experience with WordPress or similar website tools and a clear understanding of organisational requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- To be successful in this role you will bring;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 (SharePoint/OneDrive)
- Contractor status with a registered Australian Company Number (ACN) or ABN
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated operational administration experience
- Australian work rights, permanent residency, or citizenship
- A passion for diversity and inclusion and an understanding of our mission
Responsibilities:
- Research and support the submission of grants and funding applications
- Manage operational registers (Volunteer, Membership, Risk)
- Provide meeting support, including minute-taking and agenda development
- Document control
- Support the organisation in delivering events and initiatives
- Communications and engagement support
- Membership and stakeholder management
- Serve as the central point of contact for WAI Australian Chapter
