About the Position
We are seeking a professional and experienced Advisor, People and Culture to provide advice and support across a range of HR functions. You will have broad understanding in all aspects of HR and be able to interpret and apply HR related legislation, policies and procedures whilst providing valuable services to a variety of stakeholders across the Commission.
Whilst the role is primarily generalist in nature, you will be required to ensure the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding functions of the Commission are met and have accountability in other areas such as, WHS, performance management, and learning & development.
You will be highly organised, can multitask across a diverse range of HR functions simultaneously and able to work effectively and efficiently with a range of stakeholders. A can-do attitude and capability to provide professional and technical HR advice is a must.
This role offers plenty of variety and challenging work and is the perfect opportunity for a proactive, motivated, and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about HR and recruitment and is seeking to expand their knowledge and experience of HR, within the APS.
Duties
- Provide sound and timely advice and assistance to managers, staff, and team members across a range of HR matters including but not limited to, recruitment and onboarding, learning and development, probation, and WHS.
- Develop and maintain strong and collaborative working relationships with a range of stakeholders to deliver work outcomes with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist with the development of policy and procedures to maintain best practice within the People and Culture team.
- Actively contribute and engage into project work and work towards eliminating red tape.
- Find solutions and answers independently and escalate any sensitive or complex matters accordingly.
- Provide administrative support relating to record maintenance responding to frequent emails and/or phone queries, business improvement and reporting.
- Perform other duties as directed.
