Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

 Join the friendly and committed Allocation team at Mercy Hospital for Women Heidelberg. You will work closely with the Hospital Coordinators allocate a coordinate rostered nursing shifts.

  • Coordinate the placement of nurses and midwives to shifts
  • Liaise with ANUM’s to highlight and rectify staffing needs
  • Establish and maintain effective work relations with casual and Pool staff 
  • Attend to general office administration duties
  • Part-time position, fixed term contract initially, weekday and weekend shifts available
  • Opportunity for increased hours to cover leave

ABOUT YOU:

  •  Have experience in office and hospital environments
  • Demonstrate customer service with an outstanding phone manner
  • Demonstrate high level office skill with an eye for detail and excellent time management skills
  • Proven team work and problem solving skills
  • Experience in data entry, preferably in Allocation systems

  • Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
