We have partnered up with our State government client whose program is undergoing a rapid scale up of operational resources that need to be trained. The Learning & Development team will need to provide induction training at multiple depots, therefore require an additional resource to manage the increased training requirements and be able to offer training in multiple locations. As part of this team, you will be reporting to the training coordinator who reports to the Principal Quality Management Officer. The learning and development team sit within the quality management structure of the operations team. This team currently cover all inductions, onboarding, technical training and more through operational directives and needs regular analysis. The learning and development team work closely with corporate to support the staff and use internal data systems to track and monitor progress.

- $62.67 per hour + Super (Agency Contractor)
- 6 month contract (30th June 2024 Potential for extension)
- 145 – 157 Wayne Gross Drive, Berrinba. (travel to other offices within SEQ may be requirement from time to time.
- Full time hours – 36.25 per week.
- Assist with the design of training materials, programs, and packages.
- Review the existing materials and assist the training coordinator to create new learning resources to support training programs and packages, including but not limited to manuals, videos, blog posts, information guides, PowerPoint presentations, learner quick reference guides and other training collateral, as needed.
- Work with SME’s and key program stakeholders to track and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Assist with the coordination and facilitation of staff onboarding, follow-up training and post-training coaching and development.
- Provide advice to trainees on the correct procedures and on-the-job tasks required to meet training plan requirements.
- Contribute to the development of a learning management system that supports the provision of reports, feedback, and recommendations to the Training Coordinator in relation to training effectiveness and participation.
- Assist the Training Coordinator with the assessment of learning gaps and make recommendations regarding the appropriate training programs and delivery method to address the gaps.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of training systems and processes.
- Maintain training and assessment records in keeping with the Program’s records management procedures.
- Review, update and maintain training resources as necessary.
- Build collaborative relationships with key program stakeholders including Section Managers and Planning and Quality Management staff to facilitate effective training outcomes.
- To be successful in this role you will have worked in similar training roles, with experience in developing and facilitating large group training in both face-to-face and online environments.
- You will have strong communication, relationship building and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and recommend solutions and improvements.
- You will have well developed computer skills (including SharePoint and Teams).
- You will have an innovative approach to training and proven ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- More than 2 years demonstrated experience in a training environment including the development, the delivery, and assessment of group training and development of various resources.
- Unrestricted driver’s licence and ability to travel for work.
