The Role
The Collins Submarine Program (CSMP) vision is to ensure that Australia has an enduring and potent Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) Capability. As a member of the Logistics Support team, you will be assisting the team by providing and analysing data relating to Operational Materiel Logistics and Integrated Logistic Support for Sustainment tasks including:
- Manage urgent logistic requests through the use of Defence Inventory Management Systems and respond accordingly;
- Assist in the management of the Navy Allowance System by facilitating updates, amendments and verification activities;
- Preparation of responses to correspondence, briefs and reports on logistics activities;
- Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders providing advice and guidance when required;
- Assess and verify ILS products in support of CCSM configuration changes;
- Conduct data gathering and analysis relating to Operational Material Support and Integrated Logistic Support supporting Collins Class Materiel Logistics;
- Interpret and comply with logistics policy and regulatory frameworks.
About our Team
The Collins Submarine Program within the National Shipbuilding Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia’s Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation. Our Ideal Candidate

- Have relevant experience and demonstrable knowledge in Logistics Support
- Demonstrate knowledge in providing advice on logistics inventory management to stakeholders.
- Have relevant experience in composing responses to correspondence, briefs and reports on logistics demand activities.
- Be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility to work through tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
- Able to Interpret and comply with logistics legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks
- Undertake research and analysis, conduct reviews and perform procedural work to achieve results.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders (both internal and external to Defence) and subject matter experts to resolve logistics matters.
- Recommend solutions to issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy; and
- Demonstrated commitment to the Defence Behaviours.
