About the Role:
As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing our purchasing function. Your responsibilities will include:
- Day-to-day management of purchasing activities, including raising purchase orders, generating reports, and conducting data analysis.
- Direct reporting to the Purchasing Manager and close collaboration with the team.
- Continuous development of purchasing strategies to optimise efficiency and streamline operations.
- Leading negotiations with both existing and potential suppliers.
- Ensuring data accuracy and integrity by closely coordinating with the accounts department.
- Collaborating with various departments to enhance overall operational efficiency.
About You:
We are looking for an analytical, driven, and personable individual who meets the following criteria:
- Experience: You have at least 3 years of purchasing experience in a similar role.
- Skills: Proficiency in purchasing contracts management and data analysis using Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Attention to Detail: You pay meticulous attention to details.
- ERP System: You possess a comprehensive understanding of the purchasing function through daily use of the business’s ERP system. Experience with Pronto ERP is a plus.
- Supplier Management: You can manage supplier deliverables by comprehending different Supplier Agreements.
- Communication: Strong communication and follow-up skills are necessary as you engage with stakeholders, your team, and senior management.
- Collaboration: You work closely with suppliers to drive economies of scale.
- Self-Motivated: You are proactive, self-motivated, and enjoy working autonomously.
