The Opportunity
The Envirochoice Malaga Head Office is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide purchasing support to the Purchasing Team Leader and National Procurement Manager.
This role will see you responsible for sourcing goods for the business unit to ensure the continuous supply and availability of stock, whilst complying with planning and control system expectations. You’ll ensure products are procured within required timeframes and at the most cost-effective price to meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations. The role will have key interactions with Sales, Finance and Warehouse staff to ensure supply meets demand with on time and accurate stock flow.
As a Purchasing Officer, you will:
- Facilitate local and international purchasing P2P
- Manage vendors to ensure the products meet Envirochoice standards
- Monitor inventory supply to ensure suitable availability of stock as per demand requirement
- Regularly investigate alternate suppliers and products and actively pursue a cost reduction program
- Manage the ERP driven ordering processes to ensure efficient and timely processing of demand and sourcing of products
- Maintain reporting and report templates in Power BI
- Data maintenance & integrity
- Work closely with freight forwarding agents
- Complete other ad-hoc duties as required
About you
Priding yourself on your ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment while meeting deadlines you will;
- Understand the P2P purchasing processes
- Have a qualification in Supply Chain or relevant working experience (desirable)
- Experience in purchasing from local and overseas suppliers (desirable)
- Have good numeracy skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy
- Have a good understanding of the implementation and maintenance of cost effective strategies
- Have demonstrated ability playing a key part of a busy, deadline driven team environment whilst maintaining a high standard of work
- Demonstrated IT skills and be able to work with the MS Office suite, online collaboration tools and reporting applications such as Power BI
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have knowledge of the Microsoft Suite – Including but not limited to Excel & Outlook.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills - essential
- Ability to liaise with staff at all levels of the business
- Have demonstrated analytical strengths and problem solving skills
- Conduct inventory inspections, order supplies and report discrepancies

- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Maintain accurate records of orders, payments, and received stock, and collaborate with delivery team to ensure timely shipments.
