I am partnered with a Federal Government Agency, in the heart of Geelong to recruit an APS5 Procurement Officer for a 12-month, full-time temporary assignment with the potential to extend. Your new role As the APS5 Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for:
Providing level administrative support to the Procurement team, managing confidential and sensitive information.
Providing procurement advice and support
Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines
Assisting with tracking value for money based outcomes and preparing reports against KPIs.
Preparing a range of procurement related documentation.
Drafting correspondence and reports, including emails and letters.
Entering, extracting and manipulating data to enable accurate reporting.
Contributing to team activities includes identifying opportunities for improvements.
What you'll need to succeed To succeed as the APS5 Procurement Officer, you will need:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated experience working autonomously
Federal, State or Local Government experience
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and ability to multitask
The ability to remain composed in a changing, fast-paced environment
Previous experience using HR and/or Finance business systems
Understanding of procurement or recruitment processes
Experience working within the disability sector
Australian Citizenship
