Our client's Federal Government department plays a crucial role in delivering top-notch procurement, contracting, and commercial support services. They provide expert advice, facilitate direct procurement, engage in price, and cost analysis, and ensure compliance with legal and probity requirements. Due to continued growth they are seeking additional commercial capacity to support their planned activities in 2024 with EL1 and APS 6 labour hire opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and advising on procurement artefacts, including Endorsements to Proceed, tender evaluation plans, and contract negotiation directives.
- Providing commercial and procurement subject matter expertise across the branch teams, including probity advice.
- Negotiating contracts, agreements, and contract changes.
- Engaging internal or external support for cost and price analysis, as well as legal services.
- Participating in procurement planning and tender/submission evaluation activities.
- Undertaking financial administrative tasks to enable procurement activities, including budget management, purchase order creation, and invoice processing.
- Coordinating administrative and business support activities for branches, directorates, or teams.
- Performing procedural, operational, and business support tasks to ensure the delivery of outcomes.
- Identifying and interpreting relevant legislation, policies, and strategies to apply them effectively.
- Providing advice and services for a range of corporate, administration, and business support activities.
- Engaging and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
- Developing and implementing procedural, operational, and administrative documentation consistent with business requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in procurement, contracting, commercial services, or administrative support.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
NV1 clearance or ability to obtain is required for this role. Labour hire contract for March start - through until December 2024. Adelaide, Melbourne and Canberra offices.
