Job description

Randstad are currently partnering with a large Federal Government department in recruiting for multiple APS3 Claims/Income Support Officers. This positions are based in Brisbane CBD and are initially offered on 12 month contracts. The hourly rates for these positions will be between $40 - $43 per hour.

As an APS3 Income Support Officer your duties will include;ad
PROCESSING
  • Process routine updates to clients circumstances
  • Process Aged Care entitlements
  • Assist with client enquiries
  • Management of Income Support mailboxes
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Compose simple correspondence
  • Provide responses via email, mail or phone to client and other stakeholders
  • Monitor TRIM mailboxes daily

ADMINISTRATION
  • Manage and maintain all facets of Income Support including screening, calculations, escalations and client correspondence
  • Registration of Income Support claims and aged care assessments
  • Requesting additional information/evidence
  • Liaise with other business areas and teams to resolve clients' issues
  • Undertake reporting and file management
  • Processing various types of casework with minimal supervision
  • Redacting documents

OTHER DUTIES
  • Adhering to your individual Work Force Manager schedule to ensure adequate telephone coverage through the full range of Income Support Branch business hours
  • Responding to routine client enquiries from the veteran community and liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders on overpayment matters
  • Actively participating in the Performance Feedback Process and IS Coaching sessions
  • Report to management weekly on quantity of registration activities
  • Participating in training, e-learning, team briefs, workshops and other change activities when required
