Your role involves liaising with legal teams, drafting legislative instruments, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Role
Embark on a pivotal role within a legislative reform project as a Legal Officer specialising in Export Reform. Join a 5-person team, bridging the gap between Legal and project teams. Responsibilities include drafting legislative instruments, facilitating regulatory compliance, and active participation in ongoing consultations. Ideal for a self-starter with regulatory policy/legal expertise.
- Liaison and Legislative Development: Collaborate with legal teams for the development of legislative instruments
- Regulatory Process Development: Formulate processes for enforcing regulatory powers
- Consultation and Codesign: Actively participate in consultations to address legal issues and contribute to code design
- Legal Research and Analysis: Undertake legal research, provide analysis, and draft accurate legal advice
- Compliance Process Implementation: Develop detailed processes for successful compliance activities
The ideal candidate for this role is a proactive Legal Officer with a regulatory policy/legal background. They possess the ability to interpret legislation, engage in constructive conversations with legal teams, and actively contribute to ongoing consultations.
