About the role - Regulatory Officers
Administer elements of the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Act 2011 and associated legislative instruments supporting the delivery of carbon abatement through vegetation methods and projects.
Duties
- Ensure compliance with scheme requirements through communication and outreach, and detecting and responding to non-compliance
- Provide subject matter expertise and knowledge-transfer for methods to internal and external stakeholders
- Adopt an approach of continuous improvement through regular review and critical analysis of assessment tools, processes and forms
Skills / Experience
- Experience in using mapping tools and other data sources to support legislative decision making is desirable
- Experience using geospatial data software, such as ArcGIS Pro is desirable
- Qualifications in environmental science, forestry, natural resource management or ecology is desirable
