We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect (8+ years) to join our team at Millar Architects. In this role, you will be accountable for leading and managing architectural projects, and overseeing and enhancing our firm's internal QA framework. Some of the responsibilities include:
Project Architecture
- Leading the design and development of architectural projects, ensuring they meet client expectations, budgets, and timelines.
- Managing project teams, coordinating with sub-consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality results.
- Fostering client relationships, understanding their needs and translating them into innovative architectural solutions.
- Conducting site visits and meetings, ensuring project progress aligns with planned objectives.
QA Management
- Working with senior staff to develop and implement QA policies and procedures to enhance the quality of our architectural services.
- Conducting regular reviews of ongoing projects to ensure adherence to design quality, building codes, and firm standards.
- Coaching staff on best practices in design and documentation.
- Acting as a point of contact for QA-related inquiries and concerns within the firm.
About you
The ideal candidate will have completed their architectural registration and have a track record of successfully managing and delivering complex commercial projects. A wealth of experience in education / public projects, project management, NCC / AS knowledge. The candidate should also have:
- Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies specific to the architecture industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to design excellence.
- Fully proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative suite preferred (Photoshop / Indesign only)
Preferred, but not required.
- Rhino 3D, Revit, 3DS Max, 3D rendering (Vray ideally)
