Assistant Accountant
Our business located in Palm Beach, is currently seeking an Assistant Accountant. The candidate must be self-motivated, able to process data with accuracy and provide exceptional assistance to the Finance Team.
Ideally, you are a professional team player who has exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You are approachable, friendly, and quick on your feet when issues arise. You must possess the skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritise all your work.
Your role will consist of:
- Month and Year End Financial Reporting
- GST Analysis up to lodgement of data to External Accountants
- Daily balancing and reconciling of Company Clearing Accounts
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Analysis and processing of monthly prepayments and accruals
- Assist in meeting with offsite Park Managers to discuss monthly Financial Reports
- NewBook Management
- Management of Company Accounts Payable function
- Adhoc duties are required by Company Finance Manager and General Manager - Operations
- Drive continuous improvement across the Accounts Payable process
Requirements and skills:
- Previous work experience as an Assistant Accountant
- Basic bookkeeping and accounting knowledge, including GST knowledge
- Strong data entry skills
- Knowledge of NewBook RMS system is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent computer skills
- MYOB Experience is essential
- Data Entry for accurately processing invoices and payment runs
- Professional attitude and excellent phone manner
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- An Accounting Degree is essential for this role
Remuneration will be negotiated based on experience.
