Regional Corporate Services is offering the opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our existing finance team to work with a small group of privately owned companies in a diverse range of industries. As part of a friendly team, this role is a full function finance role with room for growth, offering variety and scope of tasks including:
- Full function AR with Medium volume daily AR receipting
- Employee Expense Claim processing and related journals
- Duties as required leading to end of month processing.
- Preparing various statutory obligations such as BAS / IAS.
- Preparing monthly financials for various entities within the Group (3 entities)
- Other general accounting & administrative functions as required
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years experience in general accounting and administrative duties
- Professional presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ideally looking to gain CA / CPA status
- Excellent telephone / communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Good sense of initiative and attention to detail, a can-do attitude
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Willingness to help out wherever possible
