Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Assistant Accountant with demonstrated experience in finance and/or accounting to join our friendly team.

Responsibilities Include:

• All aspects of accounting functions including accounts receivable, account payable, petty cash and banking.   
• Maintain and update documentation and financial software
• Auditing
• Payroll
• Assist with Ad hoc task assigned by the Accountant

Skills and Experience

• Minimum Certificate IV in Accounting and proven experience in financial management within a small to medium size business
• Proficiency in Xero accounting package
• Well-developed accounting and analytical skills 
• High level organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask priorities
• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously, where required
• The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with both internal and external stakeholders
• Previous experience in the Aged Care Industry - Desirable
