ABOUT THE ROLE

We are on the hunt for an energetic and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team based out of our head office in Lidcombe. If you’re looking for the next step and want to further your career in a dynamic and growing organisation, this could be the right opportunity for you!

In this role, you will make a significant contribution to the team by being responsible for the precise recording and management of financial information, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of the business's day-to-day administrative functions. 

Key responsibilities

• Full Function Accounts Payable
• Rebate Accounting
• Assist with monthly-end 
• Assist with year-end audit
• Assist with the quarterly forecast and annual budget process
• Support the advancement of innovation and the enhancement of workflow efficiency
• Handling account queries, including internal & external stakeholders

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: 

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

• Positive work ethic and demonstrate initiative
• ​High level of accuracy and attention to detail 
• ​Solid problem-solving skills  
• ​Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
• Over 2 years of experience in accounting fields
• Tertiary-level qualifications in Accounting
