The Australia Sector has more than 1,200 employees operating across four countries, namely Australia, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom.
The Australia Sector Strategy Manager works directly for the Chief Strategy Officer and is responsible for development and review of the Sector strategy, the implementation of the core components of the Group Intergraded Strategic Business Plan (ISBP), Strategic Analysis, Development, Consolidation and Communication across all levels of the organisation. They will also be responsible for the identification of Merger and Acquisition (M&A) targets that support the QinetiQ Australia Sector strategic direction.
As the Australia Sector Strategy Manager, you will be accountable for:
- Supporting the CSO in the development and communication of the Australia Sector strategy
- Leading the annual ISBP process for the Australia Sector, working closed with the Australia Sector Leadership team
- Supporting end-to-end merger and acquisition activities
- Fostering and developing strong relationships with Group and Sector stakeholders to ensure the development of the Australia Sector strategy
- Represent the CSO at internal and external forums and meetings as required, both nationally and internationally
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualifications in an appropriate discipline
- Senior management experience within a Strategy function for a global organisation and/or Defence industry
- Demonstrated ability to interact and influence to shape decision making at an organisational level through provision of trusted strategic advice
- Ability to identify, analyse and interpret data to inform decision making, provide advice and identify trends.
- A proactive self-starter with excellent interpersonal, negotiation and networking skills with the ability to work collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
