Your new role:
You will be responsible for executing and delivering against the LAND 8116 and LAND 400 Phase 3 Contract and also setting up the requisite Australian Industry Capability (AIC) infrastructure to support LAND 8116 and LAND 400 Phase 3 Acquisition & Support Contracts.
The role requires the hands-on execution in ensuring procurement strategies are cognizant of the contract objectives, negotiating maximum work share for Australian Industry and in obtaining commitments to the transfer of capability from overseas to Australian Industry. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communications skills are required for this role as well as a sound understanding of complexities with implementation of ASDEFCON Strategic and Complex Acquisition and Support Contracts in Projects of the magnitude of LAND 8116 and LAND 400 Phase 3.
Your primary areas of responsibilities:
- Provide consultative/advisory service to stakeholders and suppliers on AIC plan development and adherence
- Act as the AIC representative for HDA in Australia, supporting suppliers, working closely with the procurement and transfer of technology teams located in Korea, Australia, Norway and other supplier and subcontractor locations overseas to ensure consistency of approach.
- Creation, dissemination and implementation of the HDA AIC strategy including competitive intelligence and local market analysis at a subcontractor level.
- Leading supplier AIC support for nominated equipment and procurement activities
- Ensuring supplier compliance to AIC reporting requirements with a focus on ensuring successful outcomes are appropriately communicated to relevant stakeholders
About you
As an ideal candidate you will have:
- Significant experience in a similar role with core functional experience spanning business analysis, supply chain development, supplier AIC Plan development support and implementation monitoring, strategic planning and implementation management.
- Defence sector knowledge is essential especially in relation to Australian Defence policy, and the Australian Defence industry landscape.
- Experience with procurement, supply chain management, integrated logistics support, engineering and/or industrial capability development domains is highly desirable
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communications skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are essential.
