Are you ready to kickstart your career with Australia's leading charter airline? Alliance Airlines is currently seeking a skilled Avions Workshop Technician to join our dynamic AMO Avionics Team.
The Role
The AV Workshop Technician’s role is to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services within the Alliance Airlines AMO Avionics workshop. In this role you will perform all maintenance activities in accordance with supplied approved data on allocated aircraft avionic and electrical system components.
The AV Workshop Technician is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Ensure all maintenance activities including overhaul, repair, inspection and testing are completed.
- Complete all tasks as directed by the AV Workshop Team Leader and under the authority of the AMO issued Authorisation.
- Maintain a clean working environment, including upkeep of tools, equipment and work areas.
- Maintain personal tooling to the standard expressed in the documented Engineering Work Instructions.
- Perform all activities in Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Liaise with CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation) and Supply Chain to ensure maintenance activities are carried out in a cost effective and efficient manner.
- Perform any other function/task instructed by the supervisor.
Skills & Qualifications
- Qualified in an Electrical Discipline
- Cert IV or Diploma in Aeroskills (Avionics)
- Previous experience in an Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) (Desired)
- Experience in an electrical or avionic workshop environment (Desired)
- Have a basic knowledge in the principles of electrical or avionic component maintenance.
- Competent in the use of basic hand tools and using simple test equipment.
- Understanding of current WHS requirements.
- Satisfactory written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team focussed environment.
- Ability to use analytical, reasoning, and lateral thinking skills.
- Sufficient computing skills, particularly Microsoft office suite of programs
