Job description;
We are seeking a talented and experienced Bakery Kitchen Manager to oversee our bakery and patisserie operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patisserie operations, possess strong leadership skills, and have a keen eye for detail. As the Bakery Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Bakery Kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, stock management, and staff supervision. As we are a bakery operation shift start time requires availability from 3.30am, with availability across a 7 day roster.
Responsibilities;
- Menu Planning: Develop innovative and creative menu offerings that meet the needs and preferences of our customers while ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Food Preparation: Oversee the preparation and presentation of all menu items to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to food safety standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to optimize profitability and minimize waste.
- Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and assistants. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.
- Kitchen Operations: Ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations by implementing standard operating procedures, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and company policies and procedures.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in budget preparation and cost control measures to maximize profitability and achieve financial targets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as front-of-house staff and management, to coordinate activities and deliver exceptional food experiences to our customers.
Qualifications;
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant or food service establishment.
- Extensive knowledge of different cooking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
