The Role
Reporting into the Bid Manager this is very much a ‘hands on position.’ A newly created role that will be responsible for the delivery of tender submissions, coordinating proposals, contract reviews, whilst identifying industry specific and relevant potential work. You will drive, manage, and deliver on business strategic goals, market trends and competitor strategies whilst providing strong leadership planning and corporate methods to the business unit as an overall.
Responsibilities will also include: -
- Preparing comprehensive tender documentation including technical proposals, cost estimates, project plans and schedules.
- Liaising with internal specialists to produce compelling client centric bids including methodologies.
- Researching and sourcing new business nationally, including the ability to understand market trends and relevant prospects.
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractor’s regarding upcoming opportunities.
- Assist with broader business development management practices and processes.
- Assist with the development of marketing material.
About You
You will have extensive experience and a sound understanding of project controls and project principles, with a strong track record of driving commercial performance. Delivering on efficient processes along the journey, you will be talented and committed to the task at hand whilst planning to maximise performance and enhance operational excellence.
You will be a person that has a great energy to start the day with drive and ambition; a hands-on leader who is willing to coach and mentor by example. A good lateral thinker and communicator that enjoys working to targets and achieving set goals. Your relationship management skills will be impeccable; you will have a supportive character with the ability to self-motivate and self-mange.
Selection Criteria
- Proven experience in project driven environments.
- Experience in coordinating and administrating contracts across high value commercial projects.
- Strong analytical and practical critical thinking skills.
- Have a positive outlook with a can-do attitude, with a strong work ethic.
- Proficient to advanced level in MS suite.
- Excellent relationship building, negotiating, and influencing skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications – not essential.
