AddressYang Ming (Australia) Pty. Ltd. is the agent for Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation. Yang Ming (Australia) has its Head Office in Melbourne with offices also in Sydney and Brisbane. We are looking to appoint a Booking Coordinator to join the dedicated team based in Melbourne.
The successful candidate will ensure bookings meet allocations provided by Principal / Management, liaise with Principal / Management in order to accept bookings which exceed allocations, maintain reports as required, ensure customer bookings are input accurately and timely. The role involves monitoring equipment stocks vs bookings, liaising with both internal and external customers and overseas agents as required. You will also require a predisposition to closely follow operating instructions as stated by Customer Service Management as well as by Principals domiciled overseas.
To be the successful candidate you will need:
- Previous experience in shipping / freight forwarding industry is required
- Strong organisational, a high attention to detail and time management skills
- A proactive and 'can do' attitude
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A friendly and professional demeanour with the ability to establish rapport with people at all levels
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
