This position is based in our Head Office in Yarraville, Victoria.
The Position/Role:
We would like to build a long-term relationship with a professional bookkeeper to work with our team. The candidate should have excellent communication skills with a warm and friendly personality and be able to work independently. This position requires a skilled multi-tasker, who is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. Reporting directly to the Finance and Administration Manager the successful candidate will be fully responsible for the following tasks:
- Recording of all financial transactions of the business in MYOB and Excel.
- Accounts Receivable;
- Accounts Payable;
- Maintaining Debtor Control.
- Processing payroll and maintaining employee records.
- Processing bank/credit card reconciliations.
- Checking figures and reporting for accuracy.
- Reporting any irregularities in data to management.
- Producing balance sheets, income statements and other financial documents.
- Liaising with BAS Agent, Accountant and Directors.
- Maintaining accurate files
The Criteria:
The candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Bookkeeping using MYOB.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
Your Profile:
To be successful in this role, you will have minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Bookkeeping role using Myob.
You:
- will be able to handle multiple responsibilities and complete all tasks with accuracy;
- will be expected to interact with both management and external customers, hence effective communication and rapport building skills are essential as well as excellent spoken and written English;
- will have strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task;
- must be motivated, able to manage own workload and work unsupervised.
