Our client is a small accounting firm located in Wyong that assists companies and subcontractors with all aspects of financial services.
They are looking for an experienced and dedicated Bookkeeper to assist with helping business owners manage their finances by documenting transactions, paying, and issuing invoices, generating reports, and recording accurate financial data.
This is a 3 day per week, part time position - working 9am to 5pm Monday to Wednesday.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day accounting transactions
- Preparing the monthly accounts
- Liaising with the external Accountant for annual accounts and tax queries
- Reconciliation, preparation, and lodgement of monthly or quarterly business activity statements (BAS)
- Recording financial transactions
- Posting debits and credits
- Producing invoices
- Preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, cash flow statement, and income statement)
- Maintaining and balancing subsidiaries, general ledgers, and historical accounts
About You
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- Relevant qualification/experience in Bookkeeping or Accounting
- Advanced Excel and MS Office experience
- Ability to maintain the highest level of discretion and strictest confidentiality in all activities and sensitive corporate matters
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite software and various accounting software packages
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise work demands
- Self-driven individual with initiative and continuous improvement focus
- Ability to build stakeholder relationships through delivering great customer service
