CHAMP Enterprises is a small, thriving family owned business with a team of 8, based in the lower Blue Mountains.
We manage a wide variety of clients’ bookkeeping requirements across New South Wales, the ACT and Queensland and specialise in providing financial management for the Out Of School Hours care (OOSH) and NDIS sectors.
With excellent staff retention, we continue to grow from our existing team of 8, and an opportunity has arisen for our business to take on an additional bookkeeper.
Ideal Candidate Traits:
Reporting to the Director, we are seeking an experienced and professional bookkeeper/accountant to work part time, 3 days per week or 24 hours across 4 days in our office environment.
Someone who is client focussed, can get things done, shows initiative and has a positive “can do” and problem-solving attitude will be an ideal addition to our team.
You will be reporting directly to the Director and there is no micro managing, you will need to be self-motivated, task and results orientated.
You will have the ability to meet deadlines, and spot things that need to done and also support the team as a whole to achieve our goals.
Skills:
You will enjoy a role that is constantly changing and providing new challenges. This varied and fast paced role which will suit someone with well developed verbal and written skills who has excellent computer skills, particularly MS Office and Excel.
Proficient in Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
You will be required to perform tasks with solid organisational skills, the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail, and a problem solving approach to tasks
Strong communication skills are a must together with demonstrated friendly and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong multi-tasking (managing different financial duties) skills and ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities will include:
- Accounts payable/receivable, entering of data as required into accounting software
- Payrolls and monthly sales commissions where required
- Assisting with budgeting, cash flow, profit and Loss, balance sheets
- Performing weekly reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts
- Reviewing and analysing financial records to support the external accountants
- Preparing BAS and IAS statements
- Processing of superannuation payments using appropriate working papers and procedures
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts
Qualifications and experience:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial accounting/bookkeeping
- Be proficient in MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks
- Certificate, diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field favourable
