Bookkeeper - Part Time
A well-established business based in Melbourne’s South-Eastern suburbs is currently seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join us and take charge of our accounts, payroll and administrative functions.
The hours are office based in Springvale. 3 days / 22.50 hours per week (except month-end when an extra day is required).
Duties and responsibilities focus on but not limited to:
- Managing AP and AR - Processing vendor Invoices and Accounts Payable payments / Processing customers invoices and Accounts Receivable payments.
- Processing bank reconciliation, debtor/creditor reconciliation.
- Communicating with customers/vendors if invoices are overdue/disputed.
- Processing weekly wages.
- Assisting in preparations of monthly BAS.
- Assisting the Financial Controller with month-end and year-end reports, ensuring all work is completed accurately and on time.
- Performing general office duties as and when required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/natures:
A good understanding of accounting functions with 3 – 5 years relevant experience working within a similar role.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy when preparing and entering financial information.
Proficiency in MS Office specifically Excel and working knowledge of accounting software SAP is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, diligence and integrity.
