We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our Finance Team on a Part-Time basis (30 hours a week). The role would be based out of our Headquarters in Abbotsford, Melbourne. You will be joining a close-knit team that absolutely love what they do. Living and breathing hospitality, we work hard and play hard, supporting each other to achieve our goals.
The role:
Reporting to The Group Accountant, this role will be responsible for the Daily Updating and Maintenance of the General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations and Processing of Payroll.
The ideal candidate must be process driven, have a great attention to detail and be able to demonstrate the ability to work fast and efficiently under pressure.
Main Duties and tasks will include:
- Daily importing into our ERP of take sheets from our POS systems
- Bank Reconciliations
- Preparation of weekly payroll
- Credit Card Reconciliations
- Reconciliations of functions monies to the Balance Sheet.
- Assisting with Accounts Payable
- Preparation of Monthly BAS
- Adhoc reporting and tasks as instructed by the Group Accountant
To be successful for this role, you must:
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping role
- Be able to demonstrate an understanding of Basic Accounting/bookkeeping entries
- Have experience using Xero
- Have intermediate to advanced skill using MS Excel
- Possess strong communication skill.
Tertiary Eduction:
- At minimum a Cert IV in Bookkeeping / Diploma in Accounting
Previous experience in a Finance role within the Hospitality Industry would be looked upon favourably, however isn't mandatory.
