About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Payroll Officer to join our accounts team. The key areas of responsibility will include all aspects of accounts payable, payroll and assisting in month end processes. Working from our Leederville office location partially with the opportunity to work from home as well.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Accounts payable for multiple companies including: Processing supplier invoices and credit notes, staff reimbursements, following up on invoice approvals, setting up new suppliers, create payment runs, reconciliation of supplier statements
- Monitor accounts inbox and respond to queries
- Prepare fortnightly payroll, set up new employees, update employee records
- Assist with month end processes
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum five year's experience in a similar role and relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications
- Preferable experience using Xero accounting software
- Self-motivation with the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
