Bookkeeper/Payroll Officer

Job Title: Bookkeeper and Payroll Officer 
 

Employment Type: Part-Time - approx. 20-25 hours per week.
 

Location: Mount Lawley, 6050

Pretzel Australia is currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will work with assistance from our accounts officer to play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth financial operations of our organisation.
 

Responsibilities: 

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Prepare and submit monthly and yearly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
• Provide support for audits and tax preparation.
• Handle other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements: 

• Proven experience working as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices in Australia.
• Experience using accounting software such as; Xero and Dext.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.

This position offers flexible work arrangements, with WFH opportunities available for select work days and a minimum of one day working from our head office in Mount Lawley.
