The Founding Partner is very well-networked and sits on the board for multiple NFP institutions.
Inside the office you'll find a friendly and down-to-earth team of 10. The business has good longevity among the team (having only hired for growth in the past few years) which is a testament to the supportive, social, and family-oriented culture they promote.
They are now looking to appoint an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to help support the team. This is a part-time role of approx. 30 hours per week, with flexibility in days and start/finish times.
The role will involve servicing several bookkeeping clients (examples include entertainment personalities, legal firms, and financial services businesses), assisting with taxation work, and providing ad hoc administrative support.
Key duties include:
- Full functional bookkeeping and payroll using Xero & MYOB
- Preparation/Review and lodgement of BAS & IAS
- Liaising with clients over phone, email and face-to-face
- Working collaboratively with the accounting team and providing assistance with basic taxation matters
- Overseeing an outsourced team member and liaising with clients to complete tasks
- Quarterly Superannuation payment processing using Xero and/or ATO SBSCH account online
- 3+ years bookkeeping experience (including payroll)
- Experience with Xero and MYOB
- Prior experience with simple taxation work such as ITR's (ideal but not essential)
- Great communication & customer service skills
- Strong organisational skills
- A positive and down-to-earth attitude
