ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Business Development and Bid Manager- This role is responsible for leading bid-submissions, manage Business Development and obtain customer feedback. While reporting to the team of Directors this role works closely with the Submission Team Leaders and other staff and is located in an attractive and central Newcastle office. Responsibilities of this permanent role include:
- Monitor new business-related enquiries and advise management staff of potential opportunities as they arise.
- Actively research and identify new prospective business opportunities and produce various reports accordingly.
- Ensure consistent development and improvement of proposal content.
- Lead and contribute to bid submissions, and industry competitions and award entries.
- Review submitted bids, as to examine opportunities for future improvements.
- Confirm & coordinate internal resources to assist with the preparation of scope and fee component of bids.
- Coordinate and facilitate bid review meetings, ensuring key stakeholders provide input and address concerns or issues.
- Monitor and track bid performance metrics and analyse win/loss data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Continuously refine and improve bid processes, templates, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- 5+ years experience as a Bid Manager, Proposal Manager or similar role.
- Demonstrated success in winning bids through effective proposal management.
- Strong understanding of the bid lifecycle, proposal writing, development, and contract negotiation.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
