THE OPPORTUNITY
Due to continued business growth across Australia, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Wangara branch. Reporting to the WA Sales & Operations Manager, you will present, promote, and sell complete and appropriate solutions tailored to each Norweld customer. You will do this by strengthening an existing customer base, as well as pro-actively identifying and creating new business opportunities to drive rapid growth across Australia. You will exceed the expectations of customers by managing the quality of products and services and delivering the ultimate customer experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively canvassing and acquiring new business customers by promoting Norweld’s products and services
- Driving new business pipeline by creating networks within your region, liaising with dealership and agent managers, and adhering to national strategies
- Identifying new lead opportunities and nurturing these to sale
- Meeting and exceeding set sales targets for your region
- Researching competitors, suppliers, and individuals to find new growth opportunities for Norweld and forming strategic partnerships in the industry
- Working closely with your customers to identify their needs, and provide feedback via internal channels to assist with product development
- Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams on new business initiatives
- Building long-term relationships with new and existing customers and managing your customer base to ensure that our customers are receiving premium service
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated sales experience in managing customer accounts and growing business
- Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to overcome objections during the sales process
- Proven ability to self-manage time and responsibilities while working with autonomy
- Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
- Customer orientation with focus on delivering first class services to clients and staff
- Intermediate/Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Experience using CRM/Salesforce (desirable)
- Ability to use initiative, actively listen and follow through with tasks provided
- A commitment to superior customer service, product and market development
- Sound knowledge of 4x4 Makes, Models and popular accessories and brands
