The Business Development Manager role would suit an individual skilled in solution selling of tailored engineered automation technology used to enhance manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, a deep understanding of the manufacturing sector, and a passion for delivering transformative solutions to clients.
The role:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets in the assigned territory.
- Proactively engage with, and service, existing and potential customers in a manner which results in long-term relationships
- Interact with customers to determine needs, develop solutions, prepare proposals, respond to technical and commercial queries and close sales deals
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions to clients.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, reports, and market feedback.
About you:
- Proven experience selling engineered solutions into industrial settings.
- Tertiary qualification in an engineering or other technical field, or equivalent experience.
- High level application and solution design, understanding complex machinery and ability to formulate solutions for customers (utilising subject matter experts in the business).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to articulate the value of automation solutions to clients.
- Ability to develop creative solutions and to fully scope, manage, problem solve and drive projects to completion
- Commercial acumen and focus on sales outcomes whilst building positive relationships
- A growth mindset that is open to learning and curious to find new ways to support customers and teams.
- A valid driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly.
