This is an exciting opportunity to join Fuelspec Services, an expanding and innovative provider of specialist petrochemical and dry bulk dispensing, transfer and storage systems for the bulk transport industry. We are now looking for an a dynamic, professional, results-focused Business Development Manager to make a meaningful difference to our company and industry. A professional who can join our team to develop and implement plans to grow key market sectors within and external to, our well-established client base.

About the Position

Reporting to the General Manager, opportunities within this high growth business are significant as the market investment grows and Fuelspec positions itself for an increasing share. The role will appeal to those who thrive on securing and closing deals in a highly supportive team-based environment. We genuinely believe Fuelspec does things differently for our customers and our people and this, with the right people on board will ensure further success. 

Some key objectives of the Business Development Manager Position

  • To grow the existing strong client relationships, utilising contacts, being resourceful and collaborative with your industry colleagues and partners.
  • To unlock potential, cold calling new clients, developing leads and building new relationships.
  • Generating sales opportunities, creating proposals/presentations, responding to tenders and pulling resources together.
  • Dealing with multiple products and services increasing both Fuelspec and Liquip market exposure.
  • Prepare market analysis data, management reporting around the sales and Business Development activities.
  • Deliver growth objectives as agreed.

About You
You will be someone with a proven track record in building new business relationships, servicing existing customers and driving overall customer satisfaction and growth.

High levels of energy will feed your ability to manage multiple products and services including Liquip terminal and tanker equipment, engineered solutions for the tanker and terminal market and specialist industry projects.

As a strong communicator, cold-calling prospects will not daunt you while maintaining long-term relationships, sharing information and ideas with colleagues and other stakeholders will energise you.  Business development opportunities will leverage your base skill set and leverage your ability to not only understanding our business, but also that of competitors, regulators and of the market.

Ideally you will possess experience in field and industrial sales. Emphasis placed on project and tender submissions will allow your structured mind, ability to pull together submissions working across multiple stakeholders and communication skills to shine. Core values encompassing passion, can do and high degree of motivation will provide a great fit within our small team while playing well in the industry dynamics.

Reporting to the General Manager, the opportunities are enormous with the market untapped. The role will appeal to those who thrive on securing and closing deals. 

Ideally you will: 

  • Have 5 -10 years proven industrial experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or relevant role in sales.
  • Be technically minded and have a passion for industrial/engineering sales.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, energy, and can-do behaviours.
  • Demonstrate professional writing and presentation skills.
  • Be able to pull together quotes/tenders effectively and professionally.
