Verve Partners is partnering with a dynamic and forward-thinking mining services organisation to secure a new Business Development Manager to lead their longstanding sales team.
This organisation has in total 2500 employees globally and as a leader in their capability they have a focus on mechanical and electrical disciplines.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our clients base in non-coal markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create annual business plans with a focus on developing new clients and markets.
- Plan pitches to engage potential clients and secure business opportunities.
- Support a team of sales and estimators to build strong relationships with new clients, set sales targets, and provide ongoing support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and present new solutions and services to existing clients to grow and retain accounts.
- Collaborate with mid and senior-level management, marketing, and technical teams to execute Business Development strategies effectively.
- Manage and oversee the activities of team members involved in Business Development initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic planning initiatives to drive long-term growth and success.
To be considered for this opportunity you will hold:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven track record of success in Business Development in power and utility sectors.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor, inspire and develop team members.
