Our client was established in 1986 and is recognised as a leader in their sector with an extensive national presence. A proven leader in onsite installations, backed by a strong engineering and technical organisation reflective of their experience within the industry.
You will be a key member of the Management Team and report to the Managing Director. The objective of this role is to drive growth and expansion. You will take a leading role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, as well as maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients. This will include conducting market research, analysing industry trends, formulating business strategies, and supporting the Bid Team in negotiating business deals.
You will also represent the organisation at an industry level to establish relationships and provide new work opportunities with existing and new clients.
Business Development experience is essential with experience in market research, lead generation, strategic planning, negotiation, and closing deals. Additionally, familiarity with CRM software and strong analytical skills would be beneficial. Experience in organisations that are project based and in industry sectors such as civil engineering, construction, manufacturing or similar is desirable. Knowledge and experience in the water industry would be highly regarded.
A strong understanding of and the ability to determine market trends, undertake competitor analysis, and the ability to identify new business opportunities is essential. Extensive experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders is also essential. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills are required. An existing network of relevant industry contacts would be an advantage.
Ideally you will have tertiary qualifications in marketing, commerce, engineering or management. You will be able to work autonomously and have a track record in achieving results.
You will want to be measured by your ability to generate new business, increase market share, and achieve revenue targets.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a full medical including drug and alcohol testing before commencement.
