Position Overview:
As a Business Development Manager at Osmoflo, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and market expansion in the Western Australia / Northern Territory region. Working closely with the General Manager Sales and cross-functional teams, focus will be on cultivating new business relationships, understanding client needs, and creating tailored solutions to meet those needs. You will be developing a robust pipeline, progressing opportunities, defining bid sales strategies, presenting elaborate technical and commercial proposals, and closing deals to meet sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the regional market by conducting sales activities, client visits, and promoting Osmoflo’s capabilities, water treatment solutions and services.
- Build, maintain and expand on your existing strong network of clients, consultants, and stakeholders to drive Osmoflo project sales and market share growth.
- Deliver prescribed sales targets for Projects, Rentals, and new Operations & Maintenance contracts.
- Stay informed about competitors and market trends, contributing to sales planning and budgeting.
- Utilize your technical sales expertise and negotiation skills to secure internal support and resources for converting opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider Sales/Proposals Team, planning and sharing workload, and identifying new market opportunities.
- Document all BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT activities in Sales Force.
- Participate in corporate promotional activities such as conferences and trade shows.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering/Science or Business Studies.
- Over 5 years of experience in a similar projects sales role, preferably in water industry.
- Strong technical sales capabilities, ideally in RO and other membrane technologies.
- Ability to work independently supported by remotely based team of application engineers and estimators.
- Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills.
