ARO Tender Consulting is a bid management firm specialising in the delivery of tailored, compelling tender responses that stand out and get our clients to the negotiation table. With a focus on supporting the growth strategies of our clients, we work on tenders with values ranging from hundreds of million up to billion-dollar PPPs. Our services vary in levels of support from pitching in when our clients need an additional pair of hands or running the entire tender process on their behalf.
We are looking for a BD Manager to join our team and help us achieve our expansion targets. Reporting to the Director, this is a highly autonomous role that would suit a seasoned BD specialist or a BD specialist looking to return to permanent part time employment.
About the role:
As the BD Manager you will have a strong Business Development background with a proactive, structured approach to sourcing and engaging with prospective clients. This role is suited to a self-driven individual with the ability to secure projects with new clients.
Some of your duties include but are not limited to:
- Generating sales leads, following up after initial contact and securing new projects
Nurture relationships with important clients through regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities
- Conduct research to identify new markets and clients
- Arrange and undertake business meetings with prospective clients
- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
- Keep records of sales
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
About you:
- 10+ experience within the BD / sales environment
- Technically minded with the ability to influence client relationships
- Major construction, infrastructure, maintenance knowledge and experience
- Proven working experience as a Business Development Manager, sales executive or a relevant role
- Intensive market knowledge and connections
- Solid communication and negotiation skills
- Strong ability to build rapport
- Time management and planning skills
- BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
