The role
The Business Development Manager (Audiology & ENT) will spearhead the roll out of a new product/brand within the portfolio. This is a newly created role to actively promote, educate, and support the adoption of a new product in the Audiology market segment.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop & foster relationships with Audiology Groups, Audiologists, Audiology Clinics, Audiology Outpatients, Hospitals & Surgeons as well as any other commercial decision makers
- Liaise directly with the product manufacturer including conducting regular reviews and to keep abreast of the latest technical, regulatory and marketing information.
- Actively develop a comprehensive understanding of the Audiology portfolio of products and develop a thorough understanding of the key target clinicians/customers relevant to the portfolio.
- Develop and execute a strategy for selling into large audiology chains.
- Manage the onboarding of new clinics including delivery of initial technical training as well as.
- Provide ongoing technical and clinical support.
- With the support of the manufacturer and key Endotherapeutics team members, develop effective training tools that support the implementation and ongoing education of the portfolio of products.
- Product Management for Duearity and any future products relevant to the portfolio
- Develop an understanding of the potential reimbursement pathways for Duearity and work with the regulatory Manager to undertake a comprehensive application process.
- Develop a coherent territory plan that includes a strategy for achieving sales targets, protecting existing business, and identification of key accounts and customers.
- Minimum of 3-4 days each week spent in face-to-face customer interactions – sales drives, merchandising, training, product launches etc
- Availability to visit Key Regional Areas on a regular basis and as agreed with the Business Manager as part of an overall strategic plan.
- Attendance at seminars and conferences as agreed with the Business Manager.
About you
- Education: Master’s degree, Audiology qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience and success in B2B sales, specifically in selling to businesses/institutions in Private Hospitals, Clinics and Public Hospital markets
- 3 or more years of sales experience, particularly in Audiology
- Key Account Management experience is essential.
- Must be a self-starter who is able to take the lead with projects and establish a good pipeline of leads.
- Can work independently and collaboratively in an effective manner.
- Has a network of and experience building strong relationships with audiologists and relevant clinicians.
- Clinical experience in Audiology (preferred).
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and effective time management skills.
- Ability to learn and retain clinical and technical information.
- Knowledge and experience in preparing and analysis of sales reports and data.
- Advanced skills in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Experience in using Salesforce and/or other CRM platforms.
- Willing to travel as needed (regional, interstate, and international)
