Farmmark are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help expand our growing business. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy to promote our products and services. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Developing growth strategies and plans
- Compiling lists of prospective client businesses using directories and other sources
- Scoping of Farm poultry equipment
- Assessing customers' needs and recommending and explaining goods and services to them
- Reporting to sales management on sales made and the marketability of goods and services
- Following up with clients to ensure satisfaction with goods and services purchased, and resolving any problems arising
- Preparing sales reports and maintaining and submitting records of business expenses incurred
- Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
- Increasing client base
- Having an in-depth knowledge of business products, specifically the poultry industry.
- Writing business proposals
- Negotiating with stakeholders
- Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
- Researching business opportunities and viable income streams
- Following industry trends locally and internationally
- Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
- Exposure to technical project management
- Construction Experience an advantage
Attributes
- Extensive knowledge of farm installation equipment
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent or 5 years’ experience.
- High-level communication skills
- Stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to negotiate
- Experience with design and implementation of Business Development strategy
- Conflict resolution
- The ability to self-motivate and motivate a team
- Experience working to and exceeding targets
