Due to business growth, we are searching for a Business Development Manager to be based in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Heidelberg West.
The Role
Reporting to the general manager, you will be responsible for maintaining current accounts, sourcing new business, and achieving profitable sales growth. This role will primarily require you to work with builders, architects and drafters to understand their window shroud requirements and offer a solution that meet their needs, as well as a variety of other customers seeking custom metal products. This is a fast-paced environment where clients need fast quotes and even faster production so the ability to work to tight deadlines is a must. It is imperative that you can build and maintain solid relationships to enhance customer retention and secure repeat business.
Essential qualifications and experience:
- A proven history of establishing long term customer relationships.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to develop proposals and quotes with excellent MS skills.
- Experience managing sales leads and deals via CRM.
- The ability to confidently follow-up sales inquiries to closure.
- Aptitude for understanding customer needs to develop appropriate solutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and present sales reports and run sales meetings.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to focus on specific tasks.
- Sound business acumen.
- Exceptional planning and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
- Driven to succeed.
Highly regarded experience
- Experience in the building, window or sheet metal industries.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings.
