About the role
We seek a professional, talented BDM | MICE who has the experience of working collaboratively with a Sales & Marketing team and wider stakeholders, across a corporate and MICE sector to expertly execute and secure sales that increase the hotels profitability and brand value at the Stamford Grand Adelaide and the Stamford Plaza Adelaide.
Core to the success of this role is to have the proven ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. This role is designed to suit a mature enthusiastic sales professional who’s looking for the next step in their career, with a desire to set, manage and exceed sales targets, by effectively communicating the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
Core Functions of your role
Attract new business within a range of industries and market sectors via various proactive activities including, but not limited to sales calls, face to face presentations, hosting clients, attending networking and business-related events
Managing and promptly responding to inquiries
Liaising with the Conference & Events team across both hotels for proposal, contract generation and execution
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
Reporting to the Area Director of Sales and Marketing on matters that could shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
Continuously review the marketplace by conducting competitor analysis and tracking industry trends
Proactively prepare activity reports and attend weekly revenue meetings
Proactively participate in weekly Sales & Marketing meetings
About you
We seek a professional with local knowledge who has 2+ years’ experience in the hospitality or events sector who has;
Proven sales executive experience, meeting and exceeding targets
Previous experience as a sales manager/executive
Ability to communicate effectively, present to influence all levels of staff, including executive
Proven success with driving the sales process from commencement to close
Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
Proven ability to position products against competitors
BA/BS degree or equivalent
Delphi & Opera knowledge (desirable)
