The opportunity:
 
We have a newly created opportunity for a high-performing Business Development Manager to be part of our Property and Social Infrastructure (PSI) team for the Southern Region (Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia). 
 
This is a crucial role relying on a forward-thinking mindset, consistently seeking opportunities to expand the business, entering new markets, and identifying trends in the industry. Your strategic approach will involve planning for both short-term wins and long-term success.   
 
You will a proven track record of success in BD within the infrastructure, construction or advisory sectors, and a passion for what we do is a must!

This dynamic and fast-paced role entails:
  • Building and new markets and strategic new clients for the business within the PSI sector.
  • Developing a strong profile and credibility with clients, internal teams, industry partners, promoting the PSI services and value offering, and showcasing our expertise and capabilities.
  • Representing the business at client events and seminars.
  • Analysing general market trends, industry specifics, competitor landscapes, and prospective client research to support Business Development initiatives.
  • Understanding target and existing clients, their businesses, and the markets in which they operate.
  • Developing and maintaining account plans, contributing to the achievement of account objectives, and providing regular reporting.
  • Supporting business-driven initiatives, including participation in business forums and industry events.
  • Preparing and managing tender/proposal submissions and monitoring New Business and tender opportunities.
  • Creating marketing collateral such as capability statements and client/industry presentations.
  • Assisting with the client experience program, which may involve research, participation in client briefings, and events as deemed appropriate.
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
  • A tertiary qualification based around the industry such as design, construction, engineering OR a business-related discipline such as marketing.
  • 5 plus years' experience demonstrated experience of Business Development experience in consultancy, construction, infrastructure, advisory or property fit-out related sectors.
  • A successful track record of building new markets.
  • A keen interest in the property sector and a commitment to becoming an industry expert as the sector constantly evolves.
  • Customer-centric approach that builds long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners, fostering trust through effective communication and reliability.
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner, whether in written proposals, presentations, or face-to-face interactions.
  • Adaptable and resilient, quickly adjusting strategies in response to changes in the market or unforeseen challenges, seeking tailored solutions.
  • Results driven with a strong focus on achieving measurable outcomes and meeting Business Development targets.  Motivated by achieving results and persistent in pursuing opportunities to ensure business success.
