A Bit About Us
For more than 50 years, GS E&C has partnered with clients and communities to build the world around us. We are a Tier 1 global engineering and construction company based in South Korea, with more than 30 branches and subsidiaries around the world, including Australia.
This is an exciting time to join our GS family. We are making big waves in Australian infrastructure, delivering the $11.1 billion North East Link tunnels in Victoria as part of the Spark consortium, and pursuing opportunities in energy, transmission lines, pumped hydro and other exciting infrastructure around the country. We specialise in creative solutions for Transport, Infrastructure, Power, Renewable Energy, Architecture, Oil, Gas & Processing, and Water.
Our vision is to #GrowSustainably - as a company, as a people, as a planet with finite resources. To do this, we keep human beings at the centre of everything we do. We are here for the long haul.
The Role
- Are you an experienced Engineer who has worked on the technical side of power system design including high voltage transmission lines and substations for the past many years?
- Have you always found yourself scoping, developing and creating technical solutions with a commercial mindset aiming at the overall suitability of the power assets you have been involved with?
- Have you been in the thick of technical designs but observed you have an angle for communicating with the Client in meetings where you got opportunities to sell an idea and then work with your team to deliver the solution thus taking leadership on the proposed solution?
- Are you truly engaged when it comes to learning from your Peers and being part of the CIGRE, Engineers Australia, Energy Networks Australia and other similar organisations that allow you to learn and develop yourself?
- Are you excited to share your knowledge and work with others to bring them on a journey to learn and develop solutions for your Clients?
- Have you had experience at site where you were able to physically observe and perhaps contribute in the site construction works at some point in your career? Perhaps say I built this? Or I designed this and it was built with my input? Be it a Transmission Line or a Substation or a Battery or a Wind Farm Reticulation System connecting onto an existing Substation?
If you are still reading this advert, it means you must be interested in being apart of something big with GS AU, and this could be the right opportunity for you!
Our aspirations are to become the Contractor of Choice for the Power Market by offering turn-key solutions in the field of Transmission Lines, Substations, BESS, Wind and the wider Renewable Energy Market.
In our journey we require individuals whom are passionate about the ‘sell’ and the ‘do’ of power projects. We need individuals who know how hard it takes to deliver so we can appreciate both sides of the coin and connect with our Clients and our Delivery Teams successfully to deliver solutions.
Our approach will bring benefits to the Australian Net Zero targets so we can achieve together with our Competitors who we truly respect and appreciate doing all the hard work they are also doing to win work and deliver. We are also in this Market to support them and ease the delivery process so everyone wins!
